experience /ɪk'spɪəriəns/ v. 经受;经历
n. 经历;体验
experience作及物动词,其后可跟名词、动名词、代词作宾语。
I experienced many things on the trip.
我在旅途中经历了许多事情。
考向二【易错点】experience作“经验”讲时,是不可数名词;作“(一次)经历”讲时,是可数名词。
eg:He has gained much experience of teaching.
他已经获得了许多教学经验。
This is a special experience for Kate.
对于凯特来说这是一次特殊的经历。

height /haɪt/ n. 高度;身高
eg:We don't know the height of that building.
我们不知道那座建筑物的高度。
height的形容词为high,意为“高的”,可作表语和定语。
There is a high building over there. Do you know how high it is?

辨析high与tall
不同点:
(1)指人、动物或树木的高度时,用tall而不用high;
(2)当指一个不与地面接触的人或物离地面的高度时要用high,而不用tall;
