过去进行时表示过去某一时刻或某段时间正在进行的动作。过去进行时由"was / were + 动词-ing形式"构成。
1. 过去进行时的各种句式:
肯定句: 主语+ was / were + 动词-ing形式。如:
I was reading at this time yesterday.

否定句:主语+ was / were + not + 动词-ing形式。如：
I wasn’t reading at this time yesterday.
